The Art blog list: Ten to read in May

The internet is full of fascinating art blogs that try and convey a sense of what it is like to be an artist. Every month we highlight ten interesting art blogs that capture in different ways the lives of creative people around the globe.

Linda Leviton –  Linda is an artist whose medium is copper. Her blog is an eclectic mix of travel photos, works in progress and shots of finished pieces.

Ivan Makarov – crisply cool black and white. A man who took 30,000 photos last year.

A printmaker’s blog – Debra James Percival is a Canadian artist who includes photos of  the different stages of print-making and explains some of the processes she uses in her work.

Disability Arts Online – a plethora of blogs by disabled artists giving an insight into the work and lives of a group of blogging artists.

Marketoonist – Cartoons inspired by business, with comments on subjects such as planned obsolescence and advertising.

Artblogbybob – ponderings on art history.

Juliet Rose – A combination of reviews of contemporary shows and practical art tips. A woman who has been to a triple bill of silent films.

Barnaby Walter – Film reviews of current multiplex favourites.

Gary’s Third Pottery Blog – Images of life as a potter and baker. Look at the size of those loaves!

Brooklyn Street Art – Spotting street trends and how they develop and affect the mainstream.
