It would have been nicer in rhyme… like so:
‘Twas the night before xmas
And all through the house
Not a creature was stirring
‘Cept Bert the old souse
He picked up his candle
And wandered right past
The brightly lit tree
Nearly tripped on a glass
He went to the loo
And couldn’t be gladder
It’s what he meant to do
‘cause of his weak bladder.
