Joining the Flaneur Team

As well as writers (Click here to join the writing team) we need the following people to help The Flaneur keep growing. They are all positions that you can undertake wherever you live in the world. None of them require you to sign up to a life of servitude. Do as much or as little as you like and enjoy contributing to seeing great work online. All positions are currently voluntary. If you are interested in any of the following positions please email jobs@flaneur.me.uk and tell us what you are interested in.

Talent spotters -

Could you use your knowledge of arts, fashion or other culture to spot talented unknowns? You may know people we should feature, or you may enjoy searching the net for interesting work by new creatives. Could you then Pinterest them, tweet about them and interview them either by email or Skype?

Pinterest pinners -

We need people who are members of the pinterest website, or who are willing to join up. All you have to do is pin artists, designs, images that you think would interest readers of The Flaneur. These automatically appear on the site (check out

Investigative  interviewers -

Interesting artists, film makers and other creatives that we want to hear about live all over the world. The only way to contact them all is by email and Skype. We need people who like to ask questions to find and interview creative people everywhere. Whether you want to contact your favourite author or the newest unknown is up to you. This can either be by email or Skype, or the old fashioned way of knocking on their door and saying hi. Assuming you get some answers, these would then need to be added to the site.

Street fashion photographers -

We need people around the world who are interested in snapping people in the streets and uploading the images to the site. Find the fashionistas where you live and bring them some fame.

Cartoonists -

The Flaneur needs artists who would like to join the team and add topical cartoons to the site. These can be on any subject that makes you pick up your pencil and draw.

Social Media obsessives -

If you enjoy spreading the word on social media, twittering about culture, facebooking about art and film then get in touch. We need your help!

Native English speakers -

Some great articles come from people in places where English is not the first language. We need people who can polish the English until it sparkles.

Vimeo/You tube fanatics -

We need people who can keep up with the latest indie films and videos. Bring us the best of what you see.

Art lovers -

Just direct message @flaneurzine when you see something interesting. It’s that simple! You don’t even have to tell us you’re going to do it! Surprise us with quick 140 character reviews.
