Fashion show review: Men’s Catwalk @HackettLondon #LCM

The Crypt in St Paul’s Cathedral was the venue for the Hackett Men’s autumn winter 2013 collection. The crypt is the largest in Europe and contains the tombs of luminaries such as Sir Christopher Wren, Lord Nelson and the Duke of Wellington. How fashion shows came to take place here I don’t know but it is an elegant space.

The anticipation was high amongst the fashionistas as the twenties music jollied the crowd waiting for the show to start. It was only Hackett’s second appearance at a fashion show and expectations were high. White goodie bags stood on the floor by the feet of the audience packed in amongst the pillars of the crypt. The models appeared to applause in a myriad of outfits, including bow-ties which we are certain are due a comeback, and orange trews, about which we are less sure.
