The BFI Gothic season continues and one highlight is Sonic Cinema – Full Moon Special celebrating the publication of author Glen Duncan’s final instalment in his Werewolf trilogy, By Blood We Live. Experience the night of the first full moon of the year, Thursday 16th January 2014, with a special live audio-visual performance and screenings at BFI Southbank including new music from The Real Tuesday Weld, accompanying terrifying short films and visuals plus Glen Duncan in person reading from his work. TRTW will summon up retro-electronic cabaret inspired by the grizzly lupine narrative.
The creative genesis of this event has built on an existing relationship with musical enigma Stephen Coates and his band The Real Tuesday Weld, (notable for driving the ‘antique beat’ scene which melds a retro jazz sound with contemporary electronica), and his unique connection to author Glen Duncan. This feature length live audiovisual show that offers a unique blend of original film, live music, theatre and exclusively adapted readings from Duncan’s work.
