Evidently So by Ivan Jenson

I will admit I have
been snooping around
and peeking at your
journals
you have
incredible
secrets and
handwriting
and I have been
listening in on your
conversations
you have quite
a few hilarious,
suspicious friends
I have been observing
your schedule
and you seem
to have some mundane
and circumspect errands
and after passing through
the password of
your computer
I realize you are
quite simply
a complex amalgamation
of party girl paradoxes
and an ever so slightly
untrustworthy trust fund
fun loving female
who is unfortunately in love
with me
an FBI wannabe
otherwise known as
a real jerk

  1. What a curious shape all this makes! I slid down the pole of poetry to arrive at a thick block of success and advertising ( nothing wrong with that). As a poem it doesn’t work. This is gut instinct – I’ll firm up a reason.
