The Novatones added to Big Top stage at Isle of Wight Festival
They are (somehow) still unsigned but indie-punk heroes, The Novatones, have been added to the Big Top Stage for this year’s Isle of Wight Festival, which takes place on 9-12 June 2016. They’ll be playing alongside acts including The Buzzcocks, Iggy Pop, Richard Ashcroft, Ocean Colour Scene, Status Quo, Queen, The Cribs and many more.
South coast four piece The Novatones are an indie-punk band fuelled on a love/hate relationship for all things British. Since forming in 2010, their loyal fan-base grows bigger each year and the band who play ‘music for drunk people’ are quickly becoming regulars at festivals across the country. Rob da Bank was so impressed that he gave them a main stage slot at Common People 2015 and they’ve smashed their slots at the Isle of Wight Festival for the past two years. 2016 for The Novatones promises even more no-holds-barred live performances on bigger stages than ever, and the boys will (finally) be recording their debut album at Rockfield Studios over the summer.
Hard grafting, hard hitting, well dressed punk with a sound that smacks you in the face and leaves you thirsting for more.
