The Barista is spiritual book that focuses heavily on characters George and Emmanuel. The story examines themes of purpose, truth and understanding God’s love.
Having survived a near fatal accident, George is left reeling with the difficult questions of who he is and where is his family. Finding himself lost and in desperate need of help—in more ways than he realizes—George finds sanctuary at a mysterious diner, only there to be plagued by more questions demanding answers he cannot satisfy. Through the help of Emmanual who is able to explain the metaphysical journey and the truth about who George is, he is taken into a world of understanding unlike he ever imagined possible—and receives the answers he has been waiting for his whole life.
As the story unfolds, the nature and demeanor of George changes subtly, shifting with the knowledge he gains from Emmanuel’s teachings. George battles through past tragedies and Biblical confusions until he finally learns what it means to truly believe in Christ.
