The RAC’s annual Veteran Car run is the world’s longest running motoring
celebration. Around 500 examples of pre-1905 cars undertake the 60 mile run from Hyde Park to the seafront at Brighton on Sunday 4th November. Spectating is free of charge and the route can be examined here so that you can find a place to view this amazing mobile museum. Most cars will be travelling at around 20mph, so there is plenty of time to watch them make their way slowly southwards. If you enjoy the spectacle you’d probably enjoy Genevieve an Ealing-esque comedy set on the London to Brighton.
