Brief artist’s statement:
Hopefully the emotions solicited
from looking can repair some discord or fissure; so something broken may be
repaired. When one can identify with another’s memory, it creates a sense of
commonality illustrating that we are different in our lived experience of
course- but yet somehow… the same. I try to pull out common threads and weave
them into commentary on life’s musings and tragedies.
How did you become an artist?
Did you always dream of a life in the art-world?
Yes.

Feedback from instructors, art criticism and history.
Do you work as an artist full-time?
Describe your typical day Do you have a routine?
Architectural models by day, painting by evening into the night.
Which historical and contemporary artists do you refer to most often?
How are you influenced by their work?
Luc Tuymans, Leonardo Da Vinci, Rachel Whiteread, Gerhard Richter.
What are the other influences on your work?
Architecture.
What was the last exhibition you visited?
Michael Borremans at David Zwirner- NYC.
What is your favourite art gallery?
Luhrig Augustine- Chelsea NYC.
What are your experiences of the ‘art-world’ and the business of art?
Keep on pushing.
Do you have any tips or advice you wish you had known earlier in your career?
Yeah, marry rich- kidding…

Have you a motto that gets you through?
Believe in your work.
Do you or would you use assistants to make your work?
If I had a lot shows lined up, and wasn’t ready maybe so.
Do you use social networks? If so, how and which ones do you find most useful?
Not so much.
