Send a photo of your bookshelves and take part in a new art project
The Flaneur is looking for photographs of bookshelves for a new project. How much do your bookshelves reflect your personality? Whether you have a small shelf in your bedroom, devote a room to comics or run a huge bookshop or library, please take a photograph of your bookshelves and send it to us.
Will bookshelves even exist in the future?!
It’s hard to put an ebook on the shelf. Help document an important part of lots of people’s lives. You can either tweet @flaneurzine using the hashtag #bookshelf or email it to bookart@flaneur.me.uk with BOOKSHELF in the title. Please also include your name and location and a few words about your shelf. If you prefer to be anonymous then just do not include the information. By sending us the image you allow us to use it.
Who can join in?
Anyone! Where ever you are in the world, whether you have a few books at home or run a bookshop, whatever the language send in a photo!
A couple of early entries…
Thanks for taking part, we look forward to receiving your photo. Depending on the number of entries we receive, images will be either featured on the blog, chosen for a touring exhibition and book or may be made into an avant garde film. Follow @flaneurzine to hear about developments. Thanks!
