Pioneer of the barefoot movement, Vivobarefoot is partnering with author, Chris McDougall, to celebrate the launch of his new book, Natural Born Heroes, released this week.
Following the phenomenal success of his million-selling barefoot book, Born to Run, McDougall returns with an inspirational new book, Natural Born Heroes which, celebrates extremes of human strength and endurance.
McDougall’s new book presents the fitness revolution taking place everywhere, from London parkour routes across Kilburn estates, to state-of-the-art laboratories, based on the know-how of Shanghai street-fighters and Cretan shepherds. In partnership with McDougall, Vivobarefoot is hosting an evening of natural movement philosophy, a parkour demonstration and drinks at Conway Hall, 25 Red Lion Square, London, WC1R 4RL on Thursday 14th May from 7:00pm.
The evening will feature a speech from Chris McDougall about his new book and a dynamic performance from Parkour Generation, the world’s leading professional organisation for parkour and freerunning.
Founder of Parkour Generation, Dan Edwardes, will discuss the benefits of the dynamic sport and its relevance to Natural Born Heroes. Tara Wood, founder of WildFitness, will give a talk about her approach to wellbeing and unlocking the potential of the human body through extreme sports.
Tickets for this event cost £20 and include a signed copy of Natural Born Heroes, as well as 50% off a pair of Vivobarefoot shoes.
Attendees will receive an invite to an exclusive Parkour Generation workshop on Saturday 16th May at The Chainstore Parkour Academy, Trinity Buoy Wharf.
