I look up to Jane

I woke to the birds singing my song
Everything I wanted came instantly along
The sun was shining through succulent voile
As the earth was fresh with green grass from its soil
And as the trees held fruit that bathed in the breeze
I noticed I was no longer on my knees
I looked up from my seat of bamboo and silk
And took a sip from chai like milk
I laughed with the sent of the flowers in my garden
And wrote tales of how my heart went soft after history had hardened
I kicked up my leg with freedom from chains
And stretched out my arms creating an open frame
I was happy and free as I have been all this time
It was just the confusion of thought that had me tripping the line
The air was fresh and I knew all was well
This is my home in which I dwell
The same one I longed for when I was Five
A jungle like existence was what made me thrive
I looked up to Jane knowing she had it made
She stepped into life leaving behind the shade
The green of the wilderness was unpredictable you see
Like the river by the pathway it moves like me
I broke off some bread and gave it to the birds
Which left me with a seeded bit and the last of two thirds
Of which I lazily took a bite
And gave the rest to the baby elephant observing everything by sight
The silence on her face takes you closer to her soul
The stance she take lets her live inside her goal

Freedom is within us and beyond what we think
I will meet you in Prana and together we will drink
Because no other place is worthy of discussion
It takes you to a dumpster of things best forgotten
So step outside and let go of  control
No one else can fix you or make you whole
Its down to you to create your way
Its what you do and not what you say
I played with the flower that sat by my pen
Put it in my hair and gave thanks to my den
For materialising gifts from a place of zen
Om mani padme hum the mantra I send
