The fourth release from the Cologne based Fjellsmug Rekords appeared the other day. It’s by a trio that goes by the name Perfume Uniform. The bandmembers come Kvinnherad near Bergen (Norway) and Cologne (Germany) – “Cologne” is actually their first proper release.
“Cologne” is a five track EP somewhere in between lo-fi acoustics, tech-house engines and electro-pop goodies. Out alone tonight starts as a gentle, lo-fi concoction then veers into electro boppiness. Retro-futurism in one 6 minute track. Enjoy. Give it a listen here .
Perfume Uniform already did get some recognition back in the days – they were chosen as “Ukas Urørt” (Newcomer of the week) on the Norwegian radio program NRK. And they did an acclaimed remix for shooting star Familjen from Sweden which got released via Adrian and Tellé Records (https://soundcloud.com/perfume-uniform/familjen-huvudet-i-sanden-perfume-uniform-remix).
