Whisky Galore has a heart-felt plot –
the local pub runs out of alcohol!
It takes place on a little island Scot
with sub-plots of Home Guard and betrothal.
A ship sinks near – with cargo of liquor!
Happiness? but for a lawful Capt.
It’s pleasant but won’t really make you snigger,
they hide, he seeks – and so they readapt.
The remakers of a classic take a risk,
I think they’ve done OK – and won’t get hissed.
