From September the 21st to 5th October The Library Space hosts ‘Hanging Out’, the first London based solo exhibition by Carinthia West.
West’s informal and candid photographs present us with a fascinating cross-section of friendship, loyalty, celebrity and fame in the 1970s.
Her photographs feature subjects including Anjelica Huston, Mick Jagger, Ronnie Wood, Helen Mirren, Neil Young, Carly Simon, James Taylor, Paul Simon, George Harrison, Eric Idle, Julie Christie, Robin Williams and Keith Moon.
In addition to photography West has worked as contributing editor for Marie Claire, Tatler, Harper’s Bazaar and Harper’s and Queen. She has written for The Telegraph, The Independent and the Mail on Sunday, but her first love remains the camera and taking photographs.
‘Hanging Out’ is sponsored by Liz Earle Beauty Co. & Billionaire.com.
All works are for sale. Part of proceeds from every piece will be donated to the photography charity PhotoVoice.
