Oh no! The station’s on a hill.

A steep decline the water’s edge to reach.

Once there the lakeside walk is brill,

shady - with intermittent beach.

Locals on bikes race wildly on the path

The sort of place porcini might be found

Chestnut collectors fill bags and have a laugh

Otherwise there’s hardly any sound.

Then the steep walk to start the journey home.

Amazed it’s all so easy reached from Rome.
