A Review of Woody Allen’s ‘Midnight in Paris‘
With its charming atmosphere, beautiful scenery, and comically lined script, Woody Allen’s ‘Midnight In Paris’ is a must see for both literary students and the general audience. Maintaining a sharp, effective and comical script, as found in much of Allen’s work, ‘Midnight in Paris’ is a rewarding venture for literary and arts enthusiasts while maintaining enough material for the everyday viewer to enjoy.
Focusing around the concept of a golden age and the idea of nostalgia, ‘Midnight in Paris’ allows all age groups to think of other times they could believe to have been better and focus on particular pieces they may find near and dear to their hearts. With a strong leading role presented by the likeable Owen Wilson and a competent ensemble that brings the film to life, the viewer is sure to lose themselves in its sentiments and alluring atmosphere within the films 94 minute runtime. While the same biting wit of some of Allen’s previous work may not be as prominent, the overall commonalities are found pleasing and desirable once more. Overall ‘Midnight in Paris’ is a must see film, if not for the memories it brings, then for the charming and pleasant atmosphere that it helps to create.
