A small slice of aviation history is up for sale at RAF Hendon on 29th April. One of the hand-drawn designs for the Concorde in graphite on design paper is available, with an estimate of £1000-£1500.
The title is a bit technical – the Definition Of Compartment Boundaries, Ventilation & Drainage, No. D73.5050. But this is from 1968 and is signed by the test pilot Brian Trubshaw. The designs for Concorde were the last for a major aircraft project to be created by hand without the help of a computer design program. With Concorde decommissioned and nothing similar likely to be developed this is an undoubted piece of aviation history.
