Led by curatorial partnership, Something Human, CCLAP brings together Southeast Asian and UK/European artists for a 2-day symposium, showcasing performances, talks and a screening programme exploring gendered/feminist notions of “rites”.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
UK-based live performance artists who are keen to engage with 2014 theme of the project: ‘everyday contemporary rites from a feminist and/or gendered viewpoint’.
Live artists whose practice addresses issues such as contemporary rituals, feminism, gender, censorship.
Live artists from different socio-cultural backgrounds.
ELIGIBILITY
Artists need to apply as individuals.
Artists need to sign a release waiver for documentation of the project.
WHAT WE OFFER
1. An opportunity to present their work to audience in London and to build a dialogue to fellow live artists.
2. An invitation to the networking Salon dinner as part of CCLAP 2014.
3. A honorarium fee
