Week eleven of the fig-2 project at the ICA and and the audience finds themselves presented with an installation, with an ambiguity of its intentional function as a pool. The manmade plastic dips to allow water to gather, juxtaposing the natural collection of water in the apparent waste of humans. The fountain is an organised pump wrapped around a woodland stick, the water pouring into a curious object which then squirts the water out as a response to hitting the solid matter. Humanity and nature collide and work with each other to appear to function.

Often in today’s market the consumer drives the produce to have a more natural foundation – feeling it can be more trusted. However it seems to need support from modern technologies to survive.

Collar is breaking the very common boundary which divides nature and humanity so that neither is informing the other but they are truly merging.

Week twelve promises a novel transformed into a gallery installation where the visitor is invited to experience the fictional world in real time and space.

The show continues till December.
