Generally, collaborations between bands can either result in a clashing murmur of different talents or a symbiosis between these, succeeding to emphasize and bring them forward. The band Megapuss would be classed as the latter one, where the minds of Devendra Banhart and Gregory Rogove produce music that is definitely interesting. The band started off as a joke between them two, where they came up with the song titles before the actual songs, all influenced by the same scope of humour. Despite this, the music touches. Its simplicity or rather unpretentiousness, which is probably enhanced by the jokey undertone, is catching and the songs get stuck on your brain. Oh and don’t miss out on the music videos, they are awesomeness.
