Yesterday Baptist minister Andrew Stammers finished an epic 100 mile walk to raise money for Brain Tumour Research. Walking from Bath to Hungerford and back along the Kennet and Avon Canal he completed the fund-raising walk in less than 72 hours.

Andrew was diagnosed with brain cancer two years ago and discovered that very little is known about it. Brain cancer kills more children than leukaemia or any other cancer. It also kills more women under 35 than breast cancer and more men under 45 than prostate cancer. As many survivors of other cancers go on to develop secondary cancer in the brain many lives could be saved if more was understood about this cancer. Yet at the moment brain tumour research receives 0.7% of UK national cancer research spending.
Andrew has already raised a lot, but more money is needed. 16,000 people are diagnosed each year in the UK with brain tumours so please donate online here.
